‘Alte Försterei’ guest room
Situated directly at the entrance to the ‘Bayrisches Haus’ hotel is the historic ‘Alte Försterei’ guest room. It was commissioned by Friedrich Wilhelm IV and constructed in 1842 by the architect Ferdinand Ludwig Persius as a forester’s lodge at the south gate, one of three entry buildings leading to the Wildlife Park.
This charming building is also part of our hotel and is available for hire as an events facility. This lovingly restored guest room can accommodate up to 50 people with ease, and creates a wonderfully warm atmosphere with its mounted antlers and tiled stove. On warm days you can host a summer garden party with more than 70 idyllic spots between trees and bushes as well as a wonderful playground area for little ones.
We also offer cookery courses at our cookery school for groups of between 8 and 12 people. Under the guidance of top chef Alexander Dressel you will learn the tips and tricks of the trade - covering everything from purchasing the ingredients through to their preparation and cooking. Over the course of four hours you will cover a sophisticated menu with several courses. Our cookery school is also open for team-building events.
